The Call to Follow

“Follow me,” He said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”

The simplicity of this call is striking. There were no prerequisites, no application process, and no promises of worldly success. Jesus didn’t choose them because of their qualifications or social standing. He called them because He saw something greater in them—potential that only He could unlock. In this moment, Peter and Andrew were faced with a choice: to cling to the familiar comfort of their nets or to step into the unknown and follow Jesus.
